Getting to Know You: iTexico Hosts Fourth Customer Council in Guadalajara

There is no better way to drive home the benefits of the nearshoring approach to IT development, than to demonstrate its most strategic advantage in bold fashion.

That’s why each year, iTexico invites its clients to hop a short flight to Guadalajara, Mexico, to visit the company’s secondary delivery center – and to participate in a Customer Council, a chance to exchange ideas, spend in-person time with their development teams, and learn about the latest innovations at iTexico.

At the recently completed Customer Council – the fourth such gathering of iTexicans and clients – the combined group had the opportunity to hear presentations on the growing technology footprint in Guadalajara, and to participate in a focus group, where they were able to exchange ideas with key iTexico executives and the other corporate IT representatives in attendance.

During downtime, the group got to explore some local cultural treats, including a tour of the agave fields from which tequila is made and a tequila tasting.

All agreed that having the opportunity to visit the software delivery center, in person, was an invaluable way to hammer home the point of how beneficial nearshoring can be in the pursuit of Agile, lean, IT development.

“If you do business in the U.S., and you’re looking to augment your team, you’d be well advised to look at iTexico,” said Customer Council participant. “But you only get out of it what you put in. If you don’t go and visit, and you don’t take advantage of the nearshore, then you won’t take advantage of the proper return.”
