Nearshoring Gets its Wings: New Direct Flight Between Austin and Mexico City Provides Great Benefits

iTexico’s commitment to the nearshoring model which connects resources in the U.S. and Mexico, is about to get a whole lot easier.

Riding the crest of the technological wave which has engulfed our neighbors to the South, Aeromexico recently initiated non-stop service from Austin to Mexico City – a commitment that will allow up to 6,500 people each week to commute between the two cities.

Abhijeet Pradhan, iTexico’s chief information officer, recently talked to Austin NBC affiliate KXAN to add some context to the efficiency that this new flight will offer to our company, and through extension, its clients.

“One of our offices is in Guadalajara, Mexico,” Pradhan told the station. “Having that  direct connection….is good for businesses like us. It cuts down travel time and costs significantly.”
